Local business, Roop Investments, announced today that it has acquired The Green Halo Company, a joint venture between The Green Halo, LLC and the Green Halo LLC. The Green Halo was recently recognized as one of the top marijuana companies in America by Inc. magazine, and is one of the first, if not the first, Arizona-based company to be publicly traded on the OTCQB tier of the OTC Market.
For the past four years, Roop Investments has been one of the leading cannabis-related firms in Arizona. The company’s CEO, Rob Alston, has always had a passion for the industry and he’s made it his mission to help the public understand the benefits of cannabis as a natural health product. Rob has been a featured speaker at local events as well as a featured guest on the radio. He’s been a cannabis consultant for many companies and has been involved with the industry since 2012.
From a land of many possibilities, a single company has come to dominate the cannabis landscape. This company has been the dominant force in the industry since 2014 when it purchased a well-known dispensary in Colorado. In May 2017, the company announced it would be expanding into Arizona to continue its dominance. In a historic $30 million all-cash transaction, Roop Investments, LLC buys Arizona’s highest awarded dual license dispensary. The Green Halo’s retail business, as well as its associated dispensary, cultivation, and production licenses, will be transferred to Roop Investments.
Roop Investments, a private business owned and managed by George Roop, a Tucson, Arizona native, was established in 2020.
“We’ve spent years building up the Tucson Cannabis Campus business, and this purchase positions us to dominate the industry in the future,” Roop added.
Tucson Cannabis Campus is presently constructing out the first of its multi-acre outdoor grows and runs a state-of-the-art 40,000 sq ft indoor growing facility. Four more 50,000 sq ft structures are also in the works, allowing the business to expand its manufacturing.
“We have the infrastructure and the people in place to achieve our vision of being a leading provider of high-quality cannabis and derivatives. “With complete supply chain integration and our cultivation capacity, we will be able to offer the finest quality goods at the most competitive rates in Arizona,” Roop said.
The potential provided by the purchase, in The Green Halo’s opinion, extends beyond the sale itself.
