According to municipal permit documents, Green Ops Group, located in Columbus, Ohio, is already refurbishing two other properties in Ocala. The firm is investing $3 million to remodel a 60,000-square-foot warehouse in south Ocala at 720 SW 17th Place into a medicinal marijuana greenhouse.

At this time, a spokesperson for Green Ops Group’s parent business, Boich Companies, stated the firm had no comment on the new acquisition.

The new acquisition consists of two pieces of property totalling 7.4 acres, the majority of which is zoned warehouse distribution. Vacant industrial land covers little about half an acre.

Wholesale distribution, warehouse storage, an indoor greenhouse, or a hemp facility would all be permitted on the land, which is classified for M-1 light industrial use.
